\What started as a mock-up for his wife’s garden ended up being John Guertin’s ticket to Craft Optimism, a climate-conscious show from the organizers of the Smithsonian Craft Show.

Blending artistry, woodworking, architecture, sustainability and history, one of Guertin’s custom birdhouses was featured in the show that ran from April 24 to May 1.
